Georg Striedter, neurobiology & behavior associate professor, received a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Striedter is one of 180 scientists, scholars and artists to be granted a 2009 fellowship, recognizing stellar achievement and promise for continued accomplishment. Striedter studies brain development and evolution in birds. He holds a joint appointment in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and he is a Center for the Neurobiology of Learning & Memory fellow.
