Do I need to pay a deposit
to get keys?
No. We no longer require a deposit for
keys. All you need
to bring is a completed form with the proper signatures. Please
Note: Deposits may be required for keys issued from the
departments. Contact the department directly regarding key
deposits for their keys.
How do I get my deposits
back from keys?
If you have outstanding deposits for department keys
that were issued from the office of the dean ... return the keys to the
department and pick up a receipt for the keys. Bring the receipt
to our office for your deposit.
If you have outstanding deposits for department keys issued by the
department ... return your keys to the department as usual.
How can I get something
fixed in my lab?
Depending on what needs to be fixed we will either
submit a trouble
report, FMR, or a Machine Shop order. There are description
of each of these items on this website and you can feel free to contact
our office anytime with specific questions (824-8085).

have questions about lab
safety?
You should contact David Melitz at extension
4-2221. David is the
EH & S coordinator for the School of Biological Sciences.
I lost my keys. What
should I do
In addition to contacting our office, you should
contact your PI or supervisor to inform them
that you have lost your keys. You will need to fill out a new key
request form to get replacement keys from our office.
