1. Program Overview

The Biological Sciences 199 Undergraduate Research Training Program is a nationally recognized program for its excellence in research training. Student participants have achieved exemplary accomplishments resulting in national research awards and co-authorships on faculty publications. Biological Sciences 199 research scholars participate in the Schools' annual Excellence in Research Symposium and the University Research Opportunity Program (UROP) symposium. Students have the opportunity to present their research poster and write a scientific paper for publication. Biological Sciences 199 research scholars apply to professional schools with a superb background in undergraduate research training and experience. Students achieve acceptances to the top PHD graduate programs across the country, medical schools and other health professional schools.
