Undergraduate Minor

FALL 2004 MINOR IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES

A total of nine quarter courses are required for the minor in Biological Sciences. No more than 2 classes may be taken on a Pass/Not Pass basis and a minimum of six courses must be completed at UCI. Approved courses taken as part of the Education Abroad Program may be used to satisfy requirements for the Biological Sciences minor and are considered as courses completed at UCI.

A. Students must select three from these courses:
93 From DNA to Organisms
94 Patterns of Diversity, Ecology, and Evolution
97 Genetics
98 Biochemistry
99 Molecular Biology

B. Six four-unit courses selected from Biological Sciences 5-H90, 93–189, with the exception of Bio 46. Three courses must be upper-division. Courses used to satisfy Group A may not be used to satisfy Group B.

Note: Prerequisites will be strictly enforced.

NOTE: Students in any of the majors within the School Biological Sciences or Applied Ecology may not minor in Biological Sciences.
