2016 International Symposium: Epigenetic Control and Cellular Plasticity

The UC Irvine Center for Epigenetics & Metabolism (CEM), in collaboration with INSERM Unité 904 and Fondation IPSEN, will hold its biennial international symposium, titled “Epigenetic Control and Cellular Plasticity,” Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.

This is part of a series of symposia on epigenetics and chromatin research that is aimed at bringing together the scientific community from Southern California. This two-day symposium will focus on how epigenetic control and chromatin remodeling contribute to various processes that lead to cellular plasticity. The understanding of the molecular mechanisms responsible for this level of control is likely to bring essential information for future strategies in pharmacology, stem cell biology and therapeutics.

Date: Oct. 6-7, 2016
Location: Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering, Irvine, Calif.

REGISTRATION:  The registration deadline is Friday, September 9, 2016. We encourage you to register soon, as the Symposium will be limited to 225 participants. The registration fee includes participation in all sessions, lunches, and coffee breaks on both days, as well as a reception and dinner on Thursday, October 6.

Registration fee:

-$50  – Students (undergraduate and graduate)

-$120 – Academics (faculty, postdoctoral scholars, university staff)

-$300 – Non-academics
