The Kvon Lab (https://www.kvonlab.org/) in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at University of California, Irvine is seeking applicants for an NIH-funded Postdoctoral Scholar position. The successful candidate will work on several projects aiming to understand enhancer regulation in the context of the 3D genome and mouse development. The projects will involve using cutting edge mouse transgenic technologies, CRISPR/Cas9 mouse genome editing as well as genomic technologies such as Hi-C and single-cell RNA-sequencing. A candidate with strong background in analyzing sequencing data (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, or Hi-C) in any model system is preferred. The Kvon Lab investigates transcriptional regulation by non-coding regulatory DNA in the context of mammalian development, evolution, and human congenital disorders (see Kvon et al. Cell 2020, Kvon et al. Cell 2016, and Kvon et al. Nature 2014) and is a member of Center for Complex Biological Systems (CCBS) and Cellular & Molecular Biosciences Program (CMB). The Kvon Lab is committed to mentorship and career development for all of its members.
