Our lab studies the ability of neurons to regenerate dendrites after injury.

Our new lab is housed in the department of Developmental and Cell Biology, and is embedded in a rich research environment at UC Irvine, through affiliations with the Reeve – Irvine Research Center (http://www.reeve.uci.edu/ ) and the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory (https://cnlm.uci.edu/ ).

Research areas:
• Transcriptional changes underlying dendrite regeneration programs
• Role of neuronal excitability in dendrite regeneration
• Cellular mechanisms of regrowth after injury

Requirements: a PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, or equivalent. Experience in developmental and/or cellular neuroscience, invertebrate genetics, and microscopy would be advantageous.
