Join Dean Frank LaFerla and faculty from the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences for a morning of birdwatching and brief ornithology talks at the San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. This casual walk will highlight one of the region’s most remarkable habitats and the diverse bird species it supports.

Please note:

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for gravel paths (avoid footwear with treads that may trap gravel).
  • Bring sun protection such as a hat or long sleeves.
  • If you own binoculars, please bring them. A limited number of community pairs will be available for those who do not.
  • We recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket, as the weather may be cooler in the evening.
