Professor Larry Cahill (Neurobiology and Behavior) is a distinguished neuroscientist whose research centers on understanding sex influences on nervous system function. Professor Cahill was selected to serve as guest editor on a first-of-its-kind themed publication titled “An Issue Whose Time Has Come: Sex/Gender Influences on Nervous System Function,” in the Journal of Neuroscience Research. This permanently open access issue powerfully highlights the incredible depth and breadth of sex influences on the brain. Professor Cahill believes this JNR issue will be an extremely useful resource to the many investigators now starting to study the sex difference issue given new NIH requirements to do so.
