Join us for the return of BioSci’s quarterly Donuts with the Dean!
Please join us on Monday, February 5 from 4 – 5 p.m. on the 5th Floor of Natural Sciences II. You’ll have an opportunity to meet BioSci Dean Frank LaFerla and hear from our guest speaker, Pascal Krotee, PhD. Afterwards, enjoy a donut and fruit, while talking to the Dean, other BioSci students and your professors.

About the Speaker:
Pascal Krotee, PhD, joined RiverVest in 2021 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Principal in 2023. With her versatile background, Pascal focuses on sourcing and completing due diligence on prospective portfolio companies in both the biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Based in San Diego, Pascal provides key operational support for RiverVest’s portfolio companies. She is a board member at Bluejay Therapeutics and at a stealth RiverVest portfolio company, and she acts as a board observer at Avalyn Pharma and Biolinq.

Prior to joining the RiverVest team, Pascal spent nearly four years as an Investment Associate at Kairos Ventures, where she focused on investments in the life sciences. While at Kairos, she sourced new opportunities for investment, led due diligence, and served on the Board of Directors of several portfolio companies.
Pascal earned a PhD in Molecular Biology at UCLA, where she studied the atomic structures of proteins associated with Alzheimer’s disease and type-II diabetes and worked to create compounds that inhibited these structures. Prior to graduate school, Pascal worked as Junior Specialist at the Development Biology Center at the University of California, Irvine, where she had earned a B.S. in Developmental and Cell Biology with a Minor in Business Management.
Pascal is a 2023 winner of Biocom California’s Life Science Catalyst Award, recognizing her as a top-ten life science trailblazer under the age of forty across California.
