A night of learning, entertainment, and networking for Orange County underrepresented minority high school students. With the help of underrepresented minority undergraduate level, graduate level, Junior Staff and Faculty of UC Irvine, we hope to show your students a tangible path to a career in STEM-related fields. Our first annual “Meet a Scientist/Engineer Night” is designed to introduce high school students to connections that can help them picture themselves in STEM careers and research. From learning about life as an STEM-majored undergraduate, to the path forward as a URM entering graduate or professional school, “Meet A Scientist/Engineer Night” is a one-stop shop for all the questions underrepresented students could think of and even some they never thought to ask! We really hope to show the students that UCI is a place they can find a community that will help them THRIVE as they pursue their dreams.
