It is with great excitement that we introduce, the new Biological Sciences School Executive Assistant to the Dean, Vicki Thomas.  In her role as Executive Assistant, Vicki oversees calendaring and all of the administrative duties for the Dean.  Though Vicki is new to her current position, she has been involved with the UCI campus for many years, not just as an employee.  Her family has been longtime supporters of UCI basketball and baseball, and her children were junior anteaters growing up.

When it came time for her children to select a college to attend, UCI was at the top of the list.  Both her children decided to attend UCI – whereupon she joined the Parent Leadership Council.  Vicki was also a parent panelist at SPOP, Summer Welcome Events, Move-In Day, and Parent and Family Day. Her daughter, Shannon, graduated this past Spring, and her son, Brandon, is a junior in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science.

Before joining the Biological Sciences School, Vicki had a career in the financial industry before working her way into a management role for a number of years.  She decided to leave management to have a family, and has been an Executive Assistant to CEOs, company presidents, and other executive-level positions for the past 25 years.
