With the School of Biological Sciences undergraduates population increasing, it is essential that the university continue to support and recognize innovative approaches to teaching biology.  At the 2017 “Celebration of Teaching” awards, Bio Sci Professor Brad Hughes (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) received the Instructional Technology Innovation award, and Professor Brandon S. Gaut (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) received a Dean’s Honoree award. It is critical that our undergraduate courses be designed to reflect the best our science has to offer, and Professor’s Hughes and Gaut’s efforts to reach that goal are deserving of this prestigious recognition.
