Michael Yassa, Ph.D., Director of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory and
Professor of Neurobiology and Behavior, has been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience in Trondheim, Norway.
The Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience, a world leader in brain research led by 2014 Nobel laureates Edvard and May-Britt Moser, is a department under the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology . It consists of nine work units under the leadership of eight principal investigators. Together with other neuroscience luminaries, including Carla Shatz (Stanford), Tony Movshon (New York University), Catherine DuLac (Harvard University), and Larry Abbott (Columbia University), Professor Yassa will advise the Institute on overall scientific direction and mission priorities. His appointment is from 2019 to 2025.
