I would like to nominate Carmen Bastos from the pre-award team. Last fall Carmen helped me put together a complicated DoD grant application. She worked patiently and tirelessly to ensure all the pieces were in place, including two subawards. I am thrilled to say that this grant was awarded — for $1 million over 3 years! But the work did not stop there. As per custom of the DoD, the post-award paperwork has been nearly as complex. During the pandemic period, Carmen jumped back into the fray and worked nights and weekends to help meet a deadline to return documents. Many thanks!
