November 3 @ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Register below to join us on Monday, Nov. 3, as we mark the 60th anniversary of the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences. We’ll gather at the UC Irvine Student Center to honor our legacy and look ahead to BioSci’s next era.
Join us for a program that looks back—and leaps forward. Dean Frank LaFerla and Chancellor Howard Gillman will share brief remarks on BioSci’s impact, followed by Distinguished Professor Emeritus James L. McGaugh, a founding faculty member, with an insider’s look at UCI’s formative years and how early choices shaped the school and the university’s trajectory. Then enjoy fast, engaging micro-talks from BioSci faculty — Arthur Lander (Developmental & Cell Biology), Jennifer Martiny (Ecology & Evolutionary Biology), Andrea Tenner (Molecular Biology & Biochemistry) and Diego Pizzagalli (Neurobiology & Behavior) — spotlighting breakthrough ideas, why they matter and why UC Irvine is the place to advance them.
The lecture begins at 4 p.m. in the Crystal Cove Auditorium followed by a reception.
