My name is Wilnelia Recart and I am a grad student in the Eco Evo Department. I will be giving a workshop on how to apply to the NSF REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduate students) program with a focus on the fields of ecology and evolution. The workshop will consist of an oral presentation covering the following areas: 1) what REUs are, 2) where to find them and 3) how to apply. There will also be a panel of professors that have been supervisors in REUs and grad students that have participated in REUs.
