UCI alumna Shannon Ingram is Director of Marketing and Communications for the School of Biological Sciences. At the age of 12, she joined her parents to watch President Lyndon B. Johnson dedicate the future UCI campus, and decided then and there to attend the university one day. Shannon’s marketing career has been focused on four primary areas – hospitality, publishing, technology and healthcare – and in places as diverse as the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Colorado and Disneyland. Her work in the field of memory care led her to become a blogger and to author a memoir. Shannon supports Dean Frank LaFerla’s powerful vision via strategic marketing, digital and print communications, special events, and creative services. Her current projects include directing the re-design of the School’s website, producing a series of videos beginning with the legacy of Dunlop School, and the 2018 Dean’s Report. She relishes serving on a dedicated team that strives to make a positive difference for Dunlop School and for her beloved UCI. Shannon lives in Mission Viejo with her husband, and enjoys spending quality time with their two young grandchildren who live nearby.
