Email Signature
Please use the following email signature format to provide greater reach and awareness for the Dunlop School.
Line 1: Name (For emphasis, font is bolded with UC Irvine primary blue #255799)
Line 2: Title(s)
Line 3: Department, Unit, Institute, Center, etc.
Line 4: Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences
Line 5: Phone Number
Line 6: www.bio.uci.edu (lab or department website optional)
Line 7: Office Address (optional)

Acceptable fonts:
Arial, Calibri, Times, Verdana, and Open Sans*.
Please use the size or file type that works best with your email provider. You can also resize the original logo.
How to Insert Your Signature
For Microsoft Outlook for Windows (including Office 365 and Outlook 2019/2016/2021)
1. Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures.
2. Click on New to create a new signature, or select an existing one to edit.
3. Type your email signature information and upload or click and drag the logo file into the editing box and format as needed.
4. Under Choose default signature, set your new signature for new messages and replies/forwards if desired.
5. Click Save then OK to apply the changes.
For Outlook for Mac
1. Open Outlook, then go to the Outlook menu > Settings > Signatures.
2. Click on + to create a new signature or select an existing one to modify.
3. Type your email signature information and upload or click and drag the logo file into the editing box and format as needed.
4. Click Save to save the new signature.
5. Edit the other settings under Choose default signature for new messages and replies/forwards as you see fit.
6. Close the window to save the changes.
For Outlook Web App (Internet Browser)
1. Sign in to Outlook on your preferred internet browser.
2. Click the Settings symbol in the top right.
3. In the window that appears, go to Mail > Compose and reply
4. Edit the existing signature or click + New signature to create a new one.
5. Type your email signature information and upload or click and drag the logo file into the editing box and format as needed.
6. Edit the other settings for new messages and replies/forwards as you see fit.
7. Click Save to save the changes, then exit the settings window.
For Apple Mail on Mac
1. Open Mail, then go to Mail > Settings > Signatures.
2. Select the email account you want to use, then click on + to create a new signature.
3. Type your email signature information and upload or click and drag the logo file into the editing box and format as needed.
4. Uncheck the Always match my default message font button to keep the style formatting.
Brand Guidelines
Typography
Logo font
Montserrat is the primary typeface for UC Irvine’s communications. It is the new font used for logos. This versatile sans-serif font is freely available through both Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts.
Body font – General for Academic
Arial is used for as the primary font ALL digital/web applications for UC Irvine’s academic campus.

Headings: Roboto (Heavy/Extra Bold)

The Dunlop School uses a mix of UC Irvine’s blue shades to create a modern and vibrant look.
